Paper Easter Lilies
As Easter approaches, we start to reflect on leaving winter behind and seeing the renewal of trees, plants and flowers. Itโs a reminder of why we celebrate Easter, the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ, the ultimate renewal of life. Each leaf or blossom that pushes through can remind us that we are loved and that we can be renewed spiritually and physically by the grace of our Savior.
I love having white lilies during the Easter season. They are known as Easter lilies because they symbolize the new life and eternal hope of Jesus Christโs resurrection. They also represent purity, innocence and virtue, all characteristics of Him.
I first did this craft with my daughters when they were young. Now, I am doing them with my grandkids. Itโs a fun, creative and โhands-onโ (haha!) activity to do for Easter.
Hereโs what you will need:
- Glue gun & glue sticks
- An empty soup can
- Pliers
- Scissors
- Green pipe cleaners
- White & yellow paper
- Felt
- Ribbon
- Foam stickers
- Paper filling
Step 1 – Gather your materials

Step 2 โ Prep soup can, by pressing sharp edges inside of can with pliers.

Step 3 โ Cover can with felt and ribbons and add paper filling.

Step 4 – Trace hands and cut out.

Step 5 โ Cut yellow paper into 1×2โ rectangles with slits. Tape around top of pipe cleaners with slits at top.

Step 6 โ Use a pencil, pen or marker to roll all fingers down.

Step 7 โ Tape hands around top of pipe cleaner.

Step 8 โ Add foam stickers to can.

Step 9 โ Put flowers in can and display!

I hope you enjoy your beautiful Easter lilies and the time you get to spend with your loved ones creating them!
Happy Easter!
